The report was developed jointly by the five persons belonging to what can be considered as the core group within the Thermo SIG, i.e. Sergej BLAGOV (BASF), co-leader with Jasper of the SIG, Jasper van BATEN (AmsterCHEM), Mark STIJNMAN (Shell Global Solutions), Bjørn MARIBO-MOGENSEN (Hafnium Labs) and Michel PONS (CO-LaN). Jasper, Mark and Bjørn were present in Sunbury for the CAPE-OPEN 2017 Annual Meeting.
The Charter of the Thermo SIG was quickly mentioned mostly to state that no modification in scope and responsibilities were brought to it over the period considered. Apart from the five representatives mentioned, the Thermo SIG counts also representatives from Aspen Technology, Inc., Honeywell Process Solutions and KBC Advanced Technologies.
The Thermo SIG was involved in two main activities over the period. The most important one remains the rewriting of the Chemical Reactions interface specification and the other was an advisory delivered at its request to the Methods & Tools Special Interest Group with respect to the scope to be given to COBIA Phase II in the thermodynamic domain.
