On March 9, 2007, at the 4th CAPE-OPEN European Conference held in Heidelberg, Germany, David JEROME from SimSci ESSCOR presented on the prototyping in PRO/II of a draft CAPE-OPEN interface specification for Petroleum Fractions. This is a deliverable of the Refinery Special Interest Group to show how a CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation interacts with compounds with modifiable properties.
David demonstrated the ability to maintain separate component property values for different streams and allow a specialized CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation, defined as a Refinery Unit, to modify component properties.
