On August 8, 2012 the entire CO-LaN Management Board has authorized the public release of the revised UNIT Operation interface specification document.
This is a major accomplishment of the UNIT SIG which comes public. The revision is meant to provide a clearer document and hence to make it easier for developers to implement the CAPE-OPEN interfaces around UNIT Operations and their use. There is no fundamental change to the design of the Unit Operation interface specification. Still energy and information streams are now fully described. There is also a new mechanism that permits the recognition of which thermodynamic interfaces are used by a Unit Operation.
The revised document may be found as a stand-alone document for version 1.0 of the CAPE-OPEN standards and as part of the entire set of 1.0 specifications.
This does not mark the end of any revision. Feel free to request clarifications and to comment on the specification by email to CO-LaN CTO.
