The Chemical Process and Energy Resources Institute (CPERI) has informed today CO-LaN that Dr Athanasios PAPADOPOULOS is now its representative.
Dr PAPADOPOULOS is a Principal Researcher at CPERI. He graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2001 and went on to obtain a PhD in Process Systems Engineering at University of Surrey in January 2005. In 2003 he was a consultant engineer in a joint project between the University of Surrey and Processium, another Corporate Associate Member of CO-LaN. He has research interests in optimization and integrated design of chemical products, industrial processes as well as renewable energy systems.
CO2 capture is another area where Dr PAPADOPOULOS and CPERI in general have intense research activity. Other areas covered in CPERI include innovative energy, catalytic, chemical, biochemical, electrochemical and pharmaceutical engineering systems design and development.
CO-LaN welcomes Dr PAPADOPOULOS in its midst and thanks CPERI for its continuing involvement in support of CAPE-OPEN.
