JMS2010 was organized in Merida, Venezuela on November 24-26 by the Center for Modelling and Simulation Systems (CeSiMo) at Universidad de Los Andes.
Among the presentations made on modeling and simulation, one from PDVSA Intevep described the development of a CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation component: “Modelo de los reactores de la tecnología HDHPLUS® como componentes de simulación interoperables”.
The component developed models a HDHPLUS reactor which is a slurry technology for deep hydrocracking of vacuum residue feeds. The component developed models a HDHPLUS reactor which is a slurry technology for deep hydrocracking of vacuum residue feeds.
The paper, co-authored by Cesar PERNALETE, Bradley TORRES MANAURE and Argenis MORENO VILLAMIZAR, described also the use of this CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation within the COFE process simulator from AmsterCHEM.
