ECCE-8 included the celebration of CO-LaN 10th anniversary and the CAPE-OPEN session proved to be a very successful event. Check the presentations made there. You may want also to browse through a number of well-written CAPE-OPEN related papers published during 2011 in various scientific journals. They are referenced on the CO-LaN website.
CO-LaN is constantly developing tools to support development and use of CAPE-OPEN interfaces. Major accomplishments have been a new version of the CAPE-OPEN Logging and Testing Tool (COLTT) as well as a set of source code examples for CAPE-OPEN thermodynamic components.
CO-LaN Special Interest Groups have produced in 2011 a large amount of work. Revised interface specification documents, drafts of new interface specification documents have been released for your review. This shows the commitment of CO-LaN to the maintenance and continuous development of the CAPE-OPEN standard.
I am looking forward to an even more successful year for 2012 with the interface specification on transient unit operations, with revision of the Reaction Package interface specification, with Flowsheet Monitoring interface specification being reviewed and published as well as many opportunities to help with the implementation of CAPE-OPEN interfaces. Thank you for your continued interest in CAPE-OPEN.
