CO-LaN has partnered with AIChE on a number of occasions and organized Topical Conferences on CAPE-OPEN for several years within AIChE Annual Meetings. The Topical Conference at AIChE 2006 Annual Meeting was rated first within the 16 Topical Conferences offered and obtained a 70% rating of above average/excellent. So CO-LaN is always on the look for papers presented at AIChE meetings with respect to CAPE-OPEN. 112 papers since 2006 have been referencing CAPE-OPEN within AIChE meetings.
In Pittsburgh this year, within the session sponsored by the Computing and Systems Technology Division (CAST) and titled “Advances in Data Analysis and Information Management”, paper 728b by Linsey KOO, Edlira KALEMI and Franjo CECELJA (researchers at University of Surrey, UK) discussed their “Ontology Engineering Approach to Support Process of Model and Data Integration“. This paper is a follow-up on the poster delivered at ESCAPE 28 earlier this year. The authors build upon the CAPE-OPEN framework to develop a process based on ontology that delivers the best match that satisfy the functionality requested.
