A paper titled “A thermodynamic equilibrium reactor model as a CAPE-OPEN unit operation” by Jasper van Baten (AmsterCHEM) and Richard Szczepanski (Infochem) has been published online on July 21, 2010 and now in paper format in the July 2011 edition of Computers & Chemical Engineering, an international journal of computer applications in chemical engineering.
The paper describes a CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation which is available in the COUSCOUS library deployed within the free-of-charge COCO suite of software available at www.cocosimulator.org.
Jasper and Richard are heavily contributing to the development and maintenance of the CAPE-OPEN standards for example through their involvement in various Special Interest Groups organized by CO-LaN.
