In accordance with the authorization given by CO-LaN Management Board on April 7, 2021, Richard BAUR, representative of Shell Global Solutions International B.V., president of CO-LaN, signed on April 18, 2021 the contract with AmsterCHEM by which CO-LaN will receive software services for the design, development and maintenance activities within Phase III of the CAPE-OPEN Binary Interop Architecture (COBIA) development project. The overall scope of Phase III, as proposed by the Methods & Tools Special Interest Group, was approved by CO-LaN Management Board on February 11, 2021.
The contract was counter-signed by AmsterCHEM on April 19, 2021.
The contract covers the period from January 1 till December 31, 2021 and defines the number of man-hours to be dedicated in 2021 to various tasks, each defined through a separate work authorization form listing activities and deliverables. The corresponding budget was approved by CO-LaN Management Board on March 11, 2021.
Simultaneously CO-LaN and AmsterCHEM have signed the following work authorization forms:
- CWAF-01: fix issues documented in tickets within the COBIA repository and commit relevant changes to the COBIA source code
- CWAF-02: high-level design of marshalling and its proof of concept through prototypes
- CWAF-03: design of client-side and server-side marshaller interfaces as well as of handshake data
The Methods & Tools Special Interest Group has been designated by CO-LaN Management Board to review and assess the deliverables all along Phase III.
Results of CWAF-02 and CWAF-03 are expected to be delivered in May 2021.
