The AIChE Annual Meeting 2010 was held this year in Salt Lake City, Utah.
On November 10, Jasper van BATEN (AmsterCHEM) made a presentation on COFE, ChemSep, Excel UO and SciLab UO within a session sponsored by the CACHE organization. Harry KOOIJMAN and Ross TAYLOR were co-authors of the paper. COFE as well as the PMCs cited above are all relying on CAPE-OPEN technology.
On the same day, in a session sponsored by Topical D, CO-LaN CTO delivered a talk (Y10_AIChE_457a_Presentation) on how CAPE-OPEN technology could be helpful to current research work on advanced chemical engineering models for oil and gas production.
On November 11, CO-LaN CTO described how to make use of CAPE-OPEN within a session of the CAST division chaired by Professor Heinz PREIZIG.
In a parallel session, Jasper van Baten (AmsterCHEM) gave a presentation on CAPE-OPEN interface at BASF.
Later the same morning, CO-LaN CTO demonstrated use of CAPE-OPEN (Y10_AIChE_596c_presentation) in a session sponsored by AIChE 10e. The demonstration combined a presentation and various videos: how to export a CAPE-OPEN Property Package out of Aspen Plus, how to export a CAPE-OPEN Property Package out of Aspen Hysys, how to use a CAPE-OPEN Property Package in PRO/II, how to use a CAPE-OPEN Property Package in gPROMS, how to use a CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation in ProSim Plus, how to use the same Unit Operation in PRO/II. In the same session, Jasper van Baten gave a paper on multithreading aspects related to CAPE-OPEN.
