As per the decision taken by CO-LaN Management Board during its meeting on September 10, 2020, Dr Richard BAUR, representative of Shell Global Solutions International BV, president of CO-LaN, signed today Contractor Work Authorization Forms (CWAFs) with the software services contractors selected by CO-LaN.
This second batch of CWAFs targets the release of new versions of both the CAPE-OPEN Logging and Testing Tool (COLTT) and the CAPE-OPEN Type Libraries/Primary Interop Assemblies (TLB/PIA), as well as of their installers.
Version 2.5 of COLTT is to be released as the outcome of this activity, with loggers for Flowsheet Monitoring interfaces implemented.
With respect to the CAPE-OPEN TLB/PIA, resolution of issue of installing both 32-bit and 64-bit merge modules within an installation is targeted. Also the revised installation architecture should ensure that common files get installed correctly even for a per user install. A number of solutions need to be explored like using a conditional setdirectory directive to distinguish common file locations in a per user install, and use of a private property CAPE-OPEN directory name/symbol.
The budget allocated by CO-LaN Management Board covers 5 man-hours by Céondo GmbH, 48 man-hours by Marcus Bruno Fernandes Silva and 5 man-hours by AmsterCHEM.
CO-LaN expects the work to be completed by end of October 2020.
