Thermo SIG (the Special Interest Group that develops, maintains and promotes the CAPE-OPEN thermodynamic interfaces) met today from 10 am till noon (Central European Time).

Agenda

Response to comments received on draft version of the Chemical Reactions interface specification

Participants

BASF (represented by Sergej BLAGOV), AmsterCHEM (represented by Jasper van BATEN), University of Cape Town (represented by Prof. Klaus MÖLLER),  Michel PONS (Consultant as Chief Technology Officer)

Highlights

The focus was on section 3.1 of the Chemical Reactions interface specification. This section covers the scope of the interface specification and how the document is split in chapters. Following new comments received from Linde Engineering, Thermo SIG worked on how to better explain and rationalize the transition between Chapter 4 (Chemical Reactions) and Chapter 5 (Reactive Equilibrium). The new comments received made Thermo SIG reconsider modifications made earlier to answer the first set of comments received from Linde Engineering.

Contact the co-leaders of the SIG for further information: Sergej BLAGOV at BASF (sergej.blagov at basf.com) and Jasper van BATEN at AmsterCHEM (jasper at amsterchem.com). The Thermo SIG is looking for additional parties, well versed into any aspect of thermodynamics applied to process simulation and willing to contribute to the maintenance and development of CAPE-OPEN interface specifications related to thermodynamical aspects.
