The Thermo SIG met from 10 am till 11:30 pm (Central European Time).
Participants
BASF (represented by Sergej BLAGOV), AmsterCHEM (represented by Jasper van BATEN), Shell Global Solutions represented by Mark STIJNMAN, Michel PONS (Consultant as CTO)
Agenda
Handling remaining issues with the Custom Data interface specification.
Highlights
Thermo SIG is in the final steps of handing over the Custom Data interface specification to CO-LaN Management Board so that its public release may be considered. Today, some modifications were brought to the CAPE-OPEN IDL files in what they relate to Custom Data, making these files consistent with the structure currently enforced for IDL.
Also the UML model of the Custom Data package was amended in Molelio and the modified graphical representations brought in the textual specification.
The summary of the textual specification was reworded somewhat in order to prevent any misunderstandings.
After further review of the document, seems only one small issue remains in the wording of a specific chapter before getting all in order. Hopefully this will be sort out off-line so that work on the revision of the Chemical Reactions interface specification may be resumed at the next conference call.
Next conference call is scheduled for November 12, 2019.
Any CO-LaN Member interested in the Thermo SIG activities is welcome to join this Special Interest Group. Contact the co-leaders of the SIG for further information: Sergej BLAGOV at BASF (sergej.blagov at basf.com) and Jasper van BATEN at AmsterCHEM (jasper at amsterchem.com). The Thermo SIG is looking for additional parties, well versed into any aspect of thermodynamics applied to process simulation and willing to contribute to the maintenance and development of CAPE-OPEN interface specifications related to thermodynamical aspects.
