Highlights
Various scenarios are considered like: there has been a Flowsheet persisted by a COM PME and at least one PMC in the Flowsheet has been updated to COBIA, keeping the same class ID. The Flowsheet is being depersisted in the same (or updated COM-based version of the) PME that persisted it. The steps involved in the depersistence are listed in order to determine if the process will perform well with the already specified interfaces or will require additional interfaces to be defined. Another scenario is when the PME has been updated to COBIA, The PME is restoring a Flowsheet that was persisted in a previous COM-based version of the PME. Some of the PMCs in the Flowsheet have been updated to COBIA, and some have not been updated to COBIA, so are still COM-based.
A complete analysis of the transition from COM to COBIA is listed among the pieces of information to be delivered during the COBIA training course on October 8, 2018.
