Abstract: “When fault detection and supervision systems make use of process simulation models, specific interfaces have to be developed in order to make both software modules communicate. The paper shows how this amount of work can be reduced, standardized, and made reusable by using a software component approach and by adhering to the future CAPE-OPEN standard interfaces for process simulation components. The paper mentions other software standards initiatives in related application domains.”
