CO-LaN Management Board held today its regular monthly meeting by conference call.
Attendees: BASF (represented by R.A. KLEIN), BP (represented by P. BANKS and M. WOODMAN), DOW (represented by W. MERK, K. IRONS and J. SCHMIDT), IFP (represented by B. BRAUNSCHWEIG), Shell (represented by R. DICKINSON and C. COLANTONIO), Michel PONS (contractor for CO-LAN as Chief Technology Officer). Apologies for absence were received from TOTAL (represented by Jacques-Louis BOUSQUET).
Highlights:
- A review of the Consultancy Services Scheme was performed showing satisfaction expressed by ChemSep and Technische Universität Hamburg-Harburg (SolidSim) for support provided by Aspentech. Carnegie Mellon University was also plenly satisfied with support provided by Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
- Cosmologic’s request for consultancy was approved: Aspentech will provide the necessary support.
- 2nd CAPE-OPEN US Conference: attendance is considered as sufficiently high and the event will proceed with B. BRAUNSCHWEIG and M. PONS attending on behalf of CO-LaN.
- UNIT Special Interest Group: Marcel van MAASDAM (representing Shell) is designated as new leader.
