Kerry IRONS, who has been representing The Dow Chemical Company in CO-LaN, has send out today a message where “It is with some sadness but no regrets that I announce my retirement from Dow, effective the end of April, 2004. Sadness in that I’ll miss working with a lot of interesting people and projects, but no regrets about where I am in my life and where I want to go from here.”
Kerry graduated from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and from University of Michigan with a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering. He had a full career in process R&D in a wide range of businesses and technologies at the Dow Chemical Company that he joined in September 1973.
Kerry has been with CO-LaN since it was founded and also before, within the Global CAPE-OPEN project. He has been instrumental in the edition and publishing of the CAPE-OPEN Update Newsletter within the GCO Support project. He has also filled the position of Secretary within the early years of CO-LaN Management Board.
Thank you Kerry for your commitment to CAPE-OPEN, your numerous contributions along all these years, for example for the CAPE-OPEN workshop at the PPEPPD 2001 in Kurashiki, Japan on May 22, 2001. CO-LaN will miss your calm enthousiasm and efficiency.
