Gregor is the representative of Technische Universität Berlin in CO-LaN and he has been keeping the CAPE-OPEN community aware of the development of MOSAIC as an application implementing CAPE-OPEN. He gave a presentation at the CAPE-OPEN 2013 Annual Meeting and one also at the CAPE-OPEN 2015 Annual Meeting.

The presentation in Sunbury happens close to the end of his PhD at Technische Universität Berlin and begins by reminding everyone of the ground covered since 2013.

In 2013, Gregor developed the point that MOSAICmodeling supports CAPE-OPEN thermodynamic interfaces in code generation for MATLAB and gPROMS. In 2015 Gregor presented the first steps leading to automatically generating code to be used in CAPE-OPEN Unit Operations. Gregor demonstrated how MOSAICmodeling is able to generate code to be inserted in the Scilab Unit Operation from AmsterCHEM which is a CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation.

In 2017 there is no need anymore for a wrapper such as the above mentioned Scilab Unit Operation wrapper, in order for MOSAIC to deliver CAPE-OPEN Unit Operations. MOSAIC now directly exports code of a CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation from the modelling done in MOSAIC.
