The Thermo SIG mett from 10:30 am till 12:30 pm (Central European Time) on August 15, 2017.
Agenda: modify the chapter on Compound Slates in order to integrate the revised approach on context-awareness.
Participants: Sergej BLAGOV (BASF), Jasper van BATEN (AmsterCHEM), Mark STIJNMAN (Shell Global Solutions), Michel PONS (CTO)
Outcome: the beginning of Chapter 6 dedicated to Compound Slates was reviewed and modified based on the modifications proposed by Jasper van BATEN since the previous conference call. One of the main difficulties seems how to explain what is the purpose of Apparent Compound Slates in the representation of a reactive system. While keeping to the usual arrangement of sections used throughout the CAPE-OPEN interface specification documentation, where the design chosen is expressed before the detailed requirements are stated, an effort was made to express high level requirements in order to provide a logical path to the design chosen. Some additional re-wording seems necessary in order to deliver a text which can be quickly understood by any reader (developers, not end-users). Mark STIJNMAN agreed to re-state two existing Use Cases which still make reference to Material Object Delegates. Adding at least one Use Case to express separately the viewpoints of the PME and of a Property Package was decided as well.
Next conference call is scheduled for August 22, 2017.
