The UNIT SIG held a conference call today from 4:30 pm till 5:50 pm Central European Time.

Outcome: the section on general textual requirements was further revised, organizing the requirements in a more logical order, making sure to stress out the differences between pseudo compounds and real compounds in terms of properties, and possible change of their values. A new version of the Petroleum Fractions interface specification document has been created: 5.28. The document is available to all members of CO-LaN registered for the “CAPE-OPEN IDL” project on RepositoryHosting (look within the shared drive under “Specifications documents>Petroleum_Fractions”.

The charter of the UNIT Special Interest Group is to develop, maintain and promote unit operation interface specifications. Since the merger of the Refinery Reactors Special Interest Group in the UNIT Special Interest Group, activities have progressively focused on the revision of the Petroleum Fraction interface specification which is closely linked to the UNIT interface specification.
