HALIAS Technologies was founded in 2006 by Laurent Testard and Jérôme Martin, experienced engineers in scientific software and numerical simulation.
HALIAS Technologies started by providing consulting services in scientific software development and software engineering, as well as specific software development. Halias is specialized in the use of advanced software technologies (Distributed Systems, Web technologies, research prototypes …) in industrial projects. Halias Technologies has significant experience in building advanced software applications on top of CAPE-OPEN objects (such as Unit Operations and Thermodynamics components) and can provide technical expertise on the subject (object oriented design and development, code efficiency, middleware issues, software development best practices, …).
Since 2010, HALIAS Technologies is the editor of the two software solution realDataView and QTS (marketing, feature development, maintenance and additional services).
As of January 1, 2021, HALIAS Technologies is an Associate Member in Group B as per the bylaws adopted on October 15, 2020.

Laurent TESTARD participated to the CAPE-OPEN 2016 Annual Meeting in Pullach, Germany where he introduced the discussion on certification.
Laurent TESTARD attended the CAPE-OPEN 2017 Annual Meeting at BP in Sunbury, UK and the CAPE-OPEN 2018 Annual Meeting at BASF in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
