The latest update to the CAPE-OPEN Type Libraries and Primary Interop Assemblies (TLB/PIA), version 2.1.3, is now available for download from the CAPE-OPEN IDL project repository. This version succeeds 2.1.2 released on September 23, 2021 which was downloaded 871 times since its release.
Version 2.1.3 integrates the Petroleum Fractions interface into the “Extension 1.1” TLB and the CAPE-OPEN 1.1 PIA. The incorporation of the ICapeThermoPetroleumFractions interface, as outlined in the recently released petroleum standard specification, significantly enhances the capability of the TLB/PIA to address specific needs in the petroleum and gas industry operations.
The documentation set accompanying version 2.1.3 has been updated to include the revised Petroleum Fractions Interface Specification, released in June 2023. Furthermore, the developer guide for the CAPE-OPEN Type Libraries has been revised to reflect these latest advancements, offering comprehensive guidance for integrating and utilising the new features effectively.
CO-LaN strongly recommends developers to upgrade to version 2.1.3 for improved compatibility and functionality.
Reminder: there are three CAPE-OPEN type libraries (TLB) distributed:
- one TLB for version 1.0 of the CAPE-OPEN standard (identical to the one released in version 2.0 of the installers),
- one TLB for version 1.1 of the CAPE-OPEN standard (identical to the one released in version 2.0 of the installers),
- an extra TLB (the “Extension 1.1” TLB) for the additional CAPE-OPEN interface definitions of Flowsheet Monitoring, Custom Data and revised Petroleum Fractions interface.
