Highlights
UNIT Special Interest Group reviewed the proposed additional Petroleum Properties meant as a substitute to the D86 curve property that is not supported by the current interface design. On top of the 9 individual Petroleum Properties proposed, and after referring to the ASTM D86 specification, 3 additional points were added.
Notes were added to the table listing identifiers of Petroleum Properties to state which Petroleum Properties are only bulk properties and which Petroleum Properties are only compound properties. Furthermore a note was added, specifically for the D86 points, encouraging the storage of information calculated when providing value for one given point, in order to speed up the return of other point values if necessary.
Based on the experience gathered by Thermo Special Interest Group in revising version 1.1 of the Thermodynamic and Physical Properties interface specification, constraints, on identifiers of Petroleum Properties and on the list of Petroleum Properties supported by the Material Object, were added to the Petroleum Fractions interface specification.
Next, UNIT SIG reviewed a proposal developed by CO-LaN CTO on how to cover Petroleum Properties represented as curves. UNIT SIG concluded that, in order to complete the proposal, a number of issues have still to be resolved. Therefore, a consensus was reached to put this proposal on the back burner for the time being, and to release the Petroleum Fractions interface specification as it stands after introducing the additional Petroleum Properties mentioned above as related to ASTM D86 point values.
