Highlights
Methods & Tools SIG progressed the document on COBIA Threading models and worked especially on the diagram explaining the logic applied on COM-COBIA interoperability when threading is considered. The decision tree leading to the creation by COBIA (through COMBIA) of an instance of a COM-based PMC takes into account if and how COM has been initialized on the current thread and what is the threading model of the PMC. As a result only marshaling of calls and data by COM may be needed or marshaling by COBIA may be needed.
Next meeting of Methods & Tools SIG is scheduled for December 20, 2022.
