The CO-LaN Management Board has approved today the application for associate membership submitted by University of Oslo.
The University of Oslo (UiO) is a leading European university and Norway’s largest. The application is carried by the Department of Informatics. Dr David CAMERON has been designated by UiO as its representative in CO-LaN.
SIRIUS is a Norwegian Centre for Research-driven Innovation that addresses the problems of scalable data access in the oil & gas industry. It conducts interdisciplinary research leading to innovations that will advance and support digitalization in the oil and gas industry. David CAMERON is the SIRIUS centre coordinator while he is also
involved in research on digitalization within the Department of Informatics. He is also interested in semantics which is related to ontologies like the ones developed in CFIHOS and DEXPI. Before joining UiO, David held various positions in the industry such as Director, Research & Development, Fantoft Process Technologies AS in 2005-2006 and Product Manager, Dynamic Simulation Solutions, Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies in 2010-2011. He was an active member of the UNIT SIG while at Fantoft.
