CO-LaN Management Board has approved today the application for Associate Membership of Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI). Welcome to Politecnico di Milano!
Andrea GALEAZZI represents Politecnico di Milano in CO-LaN. Andrea is the reference for the digitalization area in the Centre for SuPER (Sustainable Process Engineering Research) led by Professor Flavio MANENTI and is also the reference for POLIMI on digital twins. Andrea GALEAZZI participated to the CAPE-OPEN 2020 Annual Meeting.
Recently Ahmed Sabri Mohamed ZAID, a master’s student at Politecnico di Milano, reached out to CO-LaN for information and help. His thesis at Politecnico di Milano is within the SuPER team led by Professor Flavio MANENTI. Ahmed is under the direct supervision of Ir. Andrea GALEAZZI. The goal is to demonstrate successful CAPE-OPEN standard utilisation to develop a Process Modelling Component (PMC) that is not available in the library iof unit operations of commercial Process Modelling Environments (PMEs). Ahmed is using COBIA middleware as a basis for developing CAPE-OPEN Unit Operations.
CO-LaN looks forward to collaborate with POLIMI on COBIA-based developments.
