Highlights
Looked at two current issues encountered by contractors asked to create a new version of the CAPE-OPEN Type Libraries / Primary Interop Assemblies.
First issue was to figure out for which .Net Framework version should CAPE-OPEN Primary Interop Assemblies be registered for. Analysis was made of what the current .NET Framework registrations meant and it was figured that there is no additional keys to the ones used so far.
Through the analysis made, an issue was found with the way the PIA release candidate was built and the issue was documented for resolution: .Net Framework 2.0 tools should be used for the build rather than .Net Framework 4.0 tools.
Second issue tackled was about the version defined for the distribution package and for the PIA. The analysis made showed no way to circumvent the high version number used presently compared to the CAPE-OPEN version number carried by the contents.
