The Thermo SIG met from 10:30 am till 12:30 pm (Central European Time).
Participants
BASF (represented by Sergej BLAGOV), AmsterCHEM (represented by Jasper van BATEN), Shell Global Solutions (represented by Mark STIJNMAN), Michel PONS (Consultant as CTO)
Agenda
Chemical Reaction interface specification.
Highlights
Thermo SIG revised “Design” section in chapter on Reactive Phase Equilibrium. It was made clearer that the reactive or non-reactive quality of a Phase Equilibrium calculated by an Equilibrium Server is a static property resulting solely from the configuration of the Equilibrium Server and not from the configuration or conditions present in the Material Object associated with the Equilibrium Server, when the Equilibrium Server is a Property Package.
Furthermore Thermo SIG revised pre-conditions and flow of events of Use Cases describing the response to calls to CalcEquilibrium operation of either ICapeThermoEquilibriumRoutine or ICapeThermoEquilibriulRoutineEx (these calls request calculation of Phase Equilibrium). Thermo SIG introduced a new Use Case describing how a Property Package checks that a PME supports Reactive Phase Equilibrium.
Next conference call is scheduled for January 14, 2020.
Any CO-LaN Member interested in the Thermo SIG activities is welcome to join this Special Interest Group. Contact the co-leaders of the SIG for further information: Sergej BLAGOV at BASF () and Jasper van BATEN at AmsterCHEM (). The Thermo SIG is looking for additional parties, well versed into any aspect of thermodynamics applied to process simulation and willing to contribute to the maintenance and development of CAPE-OPEN interface specifications related to thermodynamical aspects.
